I first heard about schoology also of CALL courses that I took. Schoology is a social network like facebook but often used for education. From wiki said that schoology is a social network for K-12 schools and higher education institutions focused on collaboration, that allows users to create, manage, and share academic content. In other word, schoology is social network to help teachers manage their classroom and make classroom online.

Visually and functionally similar to facebook, the service includes attendance records, online gradebook, tests and quizzes, and homework dropboxes. The social media features facilitate collaboration among a class, a group, or a school. With schoology, Teacher also can manage a schedule for materials, task, and grade to make students know their score.
